چکیده

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>Consider the two-dimensional inverse elastic wave scattering by an infinite rough surface with a Dirichlet boundary condition. A non-iterative sampling method is proposed for detecting taking field measurements on bounded line segment above surface, based reconstructing modified near-field equation associated special which generalized our previous work Helmholtz (SIAM J. Imag. Sci. 10(3) (2017), 1579-1602) to Navier equation. Several numerical examples are carried out illustrate effectiveness of inversion algorithm.</p>

Elastic Scattering by Unbounded Rough Surfaces

We consider the two-dimensional time-harmonic elastic wave scattering problem for an unbounded rough surface, due to an inhomogeneous source term whose support lies within a finite distance above the surface. The rough surface is supposed to be the graph of a bounded and uniformly Lipschitz continuous function, on which the elastic displacement vanishes. We propose an upward propagating radiati...

Elastic Wave Scattering by Rough Flaws and Cracks

The scattering of elastic waves by three dimensional rough flawa and cracks is analyzed using the T-matrix approach. The scattering cross section is obtained for spheroidal cavities with a periodically corrugated surface which may be used as a model for flaws with a rough surface. The dependence of the scattering cross section on the wavelength of the corrugations is studied as a function of th...

An Efficient Monte Carlo-Transformed Field Expansion Method for Electromagnetic Wave Scattering by Random Rough Surfaces

This paper develops an efficient and accurate numerical method for the computation of electromagnetic waves scattered by random rough surfaces. The method is based upon a combination of the Transformed Field Expansion method, which represents the solution as a provably convergent power series, and the Monte Carlo technique for sampling the probability space. The compelling aspect of the propose...

A Volume Integral Equation Method for the Direct/Inverse Problem in Elastic Wave Scattering Phenomena

The analysis of elastic wave propagation and scattering is an important issue in fields such as earthquake engineering, nondestructive testing, and exploration for energy resources. Since the 1980s, the boundary integral equation method has played an important role in the analysis of both forward and inverse scattering problems. For example, Colton and Kress (1998) presented a survey of a vast ...

A Novel Integral Equation for Scattering by Locally Rough Surfaces and Application to the Inverse Problem

This paper is concerned with the direct and inverse acoustic or electromagnetic scattering problems by a locally perturbed, perfectly reflecting, infinite plane (which is called a locally rough surface in this paper). We propose a novel integral equation formulation for the direct scattering problem which is defined on a bounded curve (consisting of a bounded part of the infinite plane containi...
